The Teachers' Day Conference can drive quality and sustainable educational transformation. The conference in conjunction with the 35th Teachers' Day Celebration also acts as a dynamic platform for educators to share their evidence-based insights and innovative pedagogical practices. The conference focuses on 29 sub-themes categorised under 3 main cores namely 'Empowering Students for the Future', 'Innovating the Education Ecosystem' and 'Human Resource Development'. The 2-day conference is held at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
Present was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Minister of Education. Professor Pasi Sahlberg from the University of Melbourne, in his keynote address titled 'Reimagining Education: Why Now is the Time?', among other things, touched on the need to implement changes based on international data that illustrates the various systematic challenges identified in today's education system. The conference is organised by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, through the Department of Educator Management, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education, and the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College.
